The original cover of the book

If you want fresh ideas? They have me! Masterclass Week - an unusual textile cover books with pen and bookmark. Very convenient, especially if you like to take a book in the road or a walk. And the term "klatchbuk" came up with my husband when we tried to give capacious definition of this creation. In my opinion, very well :)
How to make:
To make klatchbuk, needed materials: cotton fabric with a beautiful print, tapes, adhesive padding polyester. I did cover a specific book (size 20.5 * 13.5 * 2.5 cm - the standard size is not very thick book).

1. cut out 2 handle 6 * 22 cm, body panel 24 * 33 cm, 2 side panels 24 * 12 cm, the inner piece 24 * 20 cm Given the size of your book may be slightly adjusted.. Glues synthetic padding duplicate body panel and handles.

2. Longitudinal sections were already duplicated synthetic padding handles press them into the folded parts in half.

Sew, paving the line close to the edge, it is possible for the symmetry on both sides.

3. Neaten and tuck the sides of the parts 24 * 20 (on both sides) and components 24 * 12 (with one hand).

4. Now for the fun: all of the details you need to properly assemble "sandwich". So, for the main part to be pinned symmetrical handles:

The side panels pinned inside out. Do not forget about the braid-tab (it should be on the left).

We close our "sandwich" piece 24 * 20 cm in the center, also face inward. Sew around the perimeter of all the parts together (be careful, do not sew the bottom of the tab!). After that, cut the edge at a distance of 4-5 mm from the seam and easily wrenched the cover through the side holes.
